Editing generated resumes

Customize and refine your AI-generated resume content.

While ApplyPilot generates optimized resume content, you always have full control to edit and refine the results. The editor provides a rich editing experience with real-time ATS feedback.

Using the Resume Editor

The resume editor lets you modify every aspect of your document:

Click on any section to edit its content

Drag and drop to reorder sections or bullet points

Use the formatting toolbar for text styling

Add or remove sections as needed
5
Toggle between edit and preview modes

Editing Bullet Points

Experience bullet points are crucial for impact. For each bullet:

Click the bullet to edit text directly

Use the AI enhance button to improve wording
3
Check the impact score indicator
4
Add metrics and quantifiable results where possible
5
Reorder bullets by priority (most impressive first)
Tips
  • Start bullets with strong action verbs
  • Include numbers whenever possible (%, $, quantities)
  • Keep bullets to 1-2 lines for readability
  • Front-load important information

AI-Assisted Editing

The editor includes several AI features to help you:
