Enabling 2FA

Additional security options for your ApplyPilot account.

ApplyPilot uses passwordless magic link authentication, which provides strong security by default. Here's what you need to know about account security.

Current Security Model

Your account is protected by magic link authentication:

1
Each login requires access to your email
2
Magic links are single-use and expire quickly
3
No passwords that can be stolen or guessed
4
Session tokens are securely encrypted

Securing Your Email

Since your email is your authentication method, securing it is crucial:

1
Enable 2FA on your email provider (Gmail, Outlook, etc.)
2
Use a strong, unique password for email
3
Be cautious of phishing attempts
4
Regularly review email security settings
Tips
  • Gmail: Security > 2-Step Verification
  • Outlook: Security > Two-step verification
  • Most email providers support authenticator apps

Additional Precautions

Further protect your ApplyPilot account:

1
Log out when using shared or public computers
2
Don't share magic link emails with anyone
3
Review your active sessions periodically
4
Contact support if you notice unauthorized activity
